Abstrakt:

The transfer to the market economy in Poland brings about political, economical, and social changes that affect the life conditions of the population. The paper presents the differentiation of the level of remuneration of Wroclaw city inhabitants which is dependent on the property sector, type of enterprise, as well as the age, professional experience, and education. Differences in wage levels in five highest populated cities in Poland have also been presented. In order for the statistical data to be comparable in this analysis, the period of 1999-2003 was selected for this study. (original abstract)
