Abstrakt:

Due to the changes taking place in the socio-economic sphere, including theexpectations of members of the society, the idea of social responsibility is increasingly implemented at universities, including public ones. Therefore, the article is the result ofthe analysis to answer three questions: why can we talk about the social responsibility ofthe university, what this responsibility is and what types of activities are undertaken byselected public universities in Poland in accordance with conditions previously defined socialresponsibility. To achieve this goal, in-depth literature studies, analysis of the content ofwebsites of universities, semi-structured and in-depth interviews with employees of selectedpublic universities were conducted
