Abstrakt:

The growing importance of security in the world causes that countries try to co-operate with each other to maintain peace and security in the world and regions. They create international and regional security organizations. This article presents selected security institutions in the Asia-Pacific, and the specificity of their formation in this region of the world. It should be noted that despite significant progress in this area in the Asia-Pacific, security institutions are still young and just emerging. The specificity of the region undoubtedly affects the shape of the institutionalization processes, but despite of a number of restrictions the processes will go on. The countries of the Asia-Pacific region still have a long way to go, but the basics have already been created
