 abstract={Municipal markets have been facing a lot of changes during last few years. One of them is a significant number of strategic alliances and acquisitions performed by companies and municipalities. The main goal of this paper was presenting a level of progress of strategic alliances and acquisitions on municipal markets. We believe that municipal market for corporate control has been on the very early stage of progress. Dominance of privatization is observed, there are few operations: private – private type. Value of most transactions is small comparing to other markets for corporate control. On the other hand, there are many specific techniques of strategic alliances and acquisitions on this market. It is probable a result of many social and political problems concerning analyzed processes. We do not expect a significant progress of number of strategic alliances and acquisitions on municipal markets during next few years.},
